Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Handcrafted, movable miniature motor keychain The gold-plated impeller, and the crankshaft have ball bearings and back interconnected via a belt drive. Manufactured under license from Dr.Ing.hcFPorsche AG I've email them but no response yet. the web site http://www.topspeed-design.de/home.htm here is the Google translate https://translate.google.com/transla...htm&edit-text=

^ Yeah, I'd definitely want a PPI done before buying. Plus, will it pass CA smog? Customs? Made to US safety specs? Will you be able to even find anyone willing to service it? Lots of questions here. I'm just a little leery of gray market imports into the US. I think I'd rather go buy one from my local dealer. Sure, they'll be 3x more expensive, but worth it.

POST 4Original post

Meh, not a fan. The fan(?) on top looks dumb to me as it's not what the 911 motors I've seen look like (late 993, 996 (3.4, 3.6, TT, and GT3), and M97). That the Subaru (ok, they have a boxer too) and BMW (wtf?) chains basically look the same ruins it even more for me. Neat idea, just not a good execution in my opinion.

POST 5Original post

BMW chain is for motorcycles. I like this idea, let us know if you hear back

POST 6Original post

That's an expensive keychain. But I will admit that I do think it's cool.

Ah. That makes more sense

I got an answer on the mini engine keychain, actually received the email Oct24/15 but I missed it as it went to a junk folder. The seller states >> "Please Note! All the parts of the small engine are handcrafted in my machine shop. No casting parts." The final price shipped stateside is approx 217 euros.

POST 10Original post

Is it under warranty if the IMSB fails? Sorry, it's air-cooled, my bad

I wonder if the guy can make us a water cooled version with The Solution already installed including the oil feed line and real oil. That be cool.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Paul29 for the reminder. The "Mechanic" as is his title in his email signature seems like a real craftsman. ". All the parts I need are in store. Note! all the parts are made in my machineschop by normal machines. No casting parts." I'll post pictures and a review when mine arrives. PM me if anyone wants his email Bernhard Schmidt Topspeed-Design Rehfeld 8 53819 Neunkirchen www.topspeed-design.de

Yes very cool, but not $210 USD cool. limited run on a cnc machine, you could turn these out pretty quickly in small lots once you're tooled up for it.

The Un-Boxing It arrived in less than 1 week from Deutschland. This is clearly a high quality solid, dare say heavy product. The finish is absolutely perfect. It is a well machined gorgeous mini engine. The front is the engine fan and boxer pistons. The fan is gold plated and stands out subtly from the matte silver finish. I chose a Carrera script on the bottom. The script is the same Porsche factory font. The rear is so very cool. There are two pulleys with the smaller connected to the fan. A small fan belt connects both pulleys. When turned its smooth as there are, not visible, but very smooth ball bearings behind each pulley. The pistons and fan glide in the boxer engine motion when the pulley is turned. The tang where the Keychain attaches is the second half of the casing and is thick and looks like it will support keys without bending. It also comes with a spare belt. This is such a treat I'm not sure I'm going to put daily keys on it. Perhaps just the P Car key solo for Sunday drives. A keychain you won't see everywhere, a quality beautifully engineered piece, hand made in Germany by Bernhardt Schmidt "Feinmechaniker" For me well worth $212.00

You may want to check out this artist's work, there's a reasonable interpretation of a 911 engine: http://www.beers-pottery.com/?page_id=122

Rennlist: Home of people with $212 key chains and gold-plated IMS bearings. You folks are insane, but in a mostly good way.

You punks are just jealous you didn't think of it first

POST 23Original post

That's very cool. Before I can buy that I have a couple hundred other must-haves first though. Cool, nonetheless.

Yes I'm a punk but no I'm not jealous. I too recently bought something totally useless which doesn't enhance the car in any way although it does hide the hole in the drywall I punched when I found out I bought the wrong car. http://shop.nomodesign.com/collections/auto-icon-series/products/auto-icon-screen-print-series-porsche
