Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I’ve been meaning to ask this question for years and now it’s dark again I shall, should the electric window switches in the centre console light up ? Mine don’t and never had, I know they are there but when it’s dark and you have headlamps on I would have assumed they would light up. 99 C4 thanks 75 PNO

POST 2Original post

Mine is a 2005 model and they don't. Would be nice if they did.

POST 3Original post

I rely on good old muscle memory to find my window switches in the dark. My left hand goes right to the button. Probably comes from 60 years of driving experience. When I started driving back in the 1950s cars didn't have as many buttons and switches, and the few they had weren't just non-illuminated, they were also non-labeled. Ahh, the good old bad old days.

POST 4Original post

Sorry to bump this one back up, but I remember reading it and thinking that mine do... I have an 04 plate C2 and the window switches gently glow orange when the lights are on. I'll endeavour to take a pic next time.
