Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hello, I was trying to reinstall my sunroof lining back on my early 98 c2 as it was shagging and had it reglued back. I thought as am there maybe I should try to remove a bit of the headlining to try to address some rattling and clanging noises. What I found were 2 small rubber seals with felt loose in headliner and also 1 longer one. I have no idea where they go! Also I was always getting a loud clanging noise when closing the sunroof and seems this was because of a large plastic part of the mechanism that moves and when the sunroof is in tilt mode i can touch it as it is near the edge of the sunroof hatch on the rear. I attach some photos and video of the part that makes the noise and the loose seal. Forgot to get photos of the smaller ones!

I think it's this: Possible sunroof rattle fix for some.. - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums 997 Forum - Possible sunroof rattle fix for some.. - I posted this on 6speed also: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/997/369565-possible-sunroof-rattle-fix-some.html#post4374256 Just in case some aren't members over there also, here is a helpful hint. So I was trying to track down a sunroof... rennlist.com They're often missing from the sunroof - it was on my car and causing a horrible rattle. I had to buy a new one, but looks like yours just fell into the headlining!
