Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I thought the car was speed yellow?
Oh wait, I guess it was... hmmm don't you like the John Deer Package? Speed Yellow over Signal Green?
Ken, What is the cost for this item? Will you install or take to the dealer? Are you repainting the car to match?
Ok I can't tease you guys any longer, here is the finished item...
Looks much better in yellow!!!
Wait til you see it in the car. It is a work of art. Thanks for posting before/after shots Ken. Can't wait! For others, just hit the BumperPlugs main site, go to 'order' and we'll take it from there. We ship you the new one with our 14-stage factory-matched perfect finish, and instructions, you send the old one back after you install. $379, HALF the cost of the factory option, 500% better quality.
Awesome!
I am going to do this but I have some questions. For those of us with Arctic Silver, are the interior bits that conceal the cup holders Arctic or some other color. It seems very close to Arctic. What about the surfaces of the radio, PCM and air? They are a grey. Can they also be removed and painted the lighter silver to match? Finally, what kind of lid do you put on the painted center console? Does it look OK to just put the leather hatch cover back on? Can we get a deal on some covers for the console with the Cayman logo on it? JHellow
JHELLOW BumperPlugs also offers Factory Alumalook Interiors
That I knew. But is Alumalook really Arctic or something else? I would not want three different silvers inside the car, Arctic for the center console, Alumalook on the dash and that grey that is used for the PCM and center section. I think two different silvers inside is sufficiently irritating. JHellow
Porsche offers for the Cayman : <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="100%" border="0" class="table-main"> <tbody> <tr> <td valign="top" align="center"><a name="100651010"></a> CCP </td> <td valign="top"> Aluminum Look PCM Package REQUIRES P16 or P23. </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="100%" border="0" class="table-main"> <tbody> <tr> <td valign="top" align="center"><a name="100640410"></a> EBE </td> <td valign="top"> Aluminum Look Dashboard Trim Includes aluminum look finish in interior color on side air vent slats, central air vent slats, loudspeaker finisher on switch panel, defroster trim and trim strip switch panel including cupholder trim.</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="100%" border="0" class="table-main"> <tbody> <tr> <td valign="top" align="center"><a name="100651020"></a> XCK </td> <td valign="top"> Rear Center Console in Aluminum Look Includes aluminum look painted finish on ashtray cover and storage tray rear section of center console and interior-colored leather finish on handbrake lever recess trim. NOT AVAILABLE with 451, 452, 801, 802. </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> I am assuming that this is what BumperPlugs call the AlumaLook. A phone call to BumperPlugs would probably clear the up question about how this color matches the steering wheel etc.
I will call Bumperplugs in the morning. Did you notice what Porsche wanted for the Aluminum look trim on the PCM ? Even I balked at $2230 for less than 1/2 sq. ft of silver paint. JHellow
The cost of these options helps Porsche engineer the Panamera while buying 20% or Volkswagen. It's a good cause, but not deductible on your 1040-A
Alumalook <> Artic, they are different. Alumalook is designed to look like shiny aluminum metal, whereas Artic Silver is a shade of silver but does not look like shiny metal.
