Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Does anyone have pics of the additional radiator or the front of their Tiptronic equiped Cayman S? I heard that the Tiptronic Equiped Cayman S have a middle/third radiator in the front.

POST 2Original post

I don't have a picture (yet) but I can describe what I've seen on a Tip car at a dealer. If you look at any photo of a stick Cayman, the center air dam is black looking. This is a black plastic piece which closes off the center air-dam. On a Tip Cayman, this black plastic piece is not present and you can see an aluminum color radiator behind. I don't mind the look, but I am concerned about road debris damage to the radiator. I am hoping that some company produces a mesh cover of some kind to protect the radiator.

POST 3Original post

My Crock is currently on order and it's a Tiptronic, which brings me to the same concerns you've described. I wish there is something that would protect it. If you have pictures of it please post it, since I'm curious how it looks.

POST 4Original post

Best thing to do is go to your dealer and see if they have one you can look at. If you've got it on order, then I'd say forget it and see if anyone comes out with a grille of some kind.

POST 6Original post

Thanks!!! I think it's not a major issue, however it would be nice to have something that would compliment the side air intakes or to protect the radiator from potential particles from the road.

POST 7Original post

I've contacted Eric from www.bumperplugs.com and he has refered me to www.cargraphicusa.com . They have stated thatthere is an insert to protect the radiator and it should be available shortly.

POST 8Original post

Hey check with CarGraphic and see if they are interested in advertising here, sponsoring, etc. Come to think of it I don't think I heard back from them.

POST 9Original post

I'll mention it to them tomorrow when I'll call them back to find out about the radiator grill insert availability / timeline.
