Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Dealer as in Porsche dealer who will warranty work. Probably not too much. Although any radio shop could do it for much less.
I would gladly pay $250 if it was done by Porsche, and did not mess with the warranty. Russ
yes, Porsche dealer... so I am assuming implied warranty. Is it that hard of an install to risk a local car audio shop to do it?
Just wonder what kind hardware installation that the porsche dealer gives you? Does V1 can integrate into the cayman display or just a mere hooking up to the swithced power supply? Thanks.
I found this V1 hardwire install on a 997. Seems simple. <span class="smallfont"> http://forums.********.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=228360
<span class="smallfont">
Just a hooking up to a switched wire. </blockquote>

SF, After reading that I can tell you one thing, I won't be the one doing the install! Can you imagine, a guy who took 2 days to program his garage door homelink doing a V1 hardwire! /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/help.gif The car might not ever run again! Russ
I had a local Stereo shop in Austin do it for about $100 (in my M3). Not a problem.
Mark Are you planning on hardwiring the V1 into the Cayman?
