Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Mk 1 fronts were 7.5", Mk 2 fronts were 8". I've read that Sport Designs were available in both widths, although I've only seen 7.5" (which is what I have). I have no idea what effect, if any, the 1/2" width difference would have on handling.
I have the 8" sport design fronts on my 2000 C2. I haven't noticed any difference in handling for the better, however, I definitely can say they seem more cumbersome than the 7.5" twists I had on previously. The rim switch was purely aesthetic (I love the way they look). I did feel that the 7.5" fronts were more nimble than the 8".
