My friend just took delivery of his Cayman S today... so both of us went out driving around the city. After driving around for about 50km, we stopped to compare my car and his. He asked me where he can find the liquid seal canister and the pump (in case you have a flat tire), so I popped the front boot to show him... funnily, he had the same thing with his car as I had with mine when I got mine initially... The clips that hold the comparment in place don't see to do the job properly, and the compartment was open with all of the parts all over the place. I told him i had the same problem and that it took me a while to get those damn clips to click back in place and hold it together. Has anyone else had this problem? Basically the clips don't feel like they're holding the compartment shut properly. Zuksh

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Are you turning the clips so that the lines on the clips are vertical? I just took delivery yesterday and the sales guy had to rotate them clockwise 90 degrees.
I know that you have to rotate it...but the thing is it only locks in after several attempts. Zuksh
same problem, actually one of the clips borke off while opening it...
Agree, not a great design. Pushing in as much as possible while turning seems to help. My '98 Boxster battery cover has same type which are always a pain to relatch.
Hmmm, I just tried to open the clips and I can't get the damned things to disengage! I'll have to try the press-in-and-turn deal.
Ah...I figured it out...you turn them until they are horizontal and then pull hard.
