With all the Porsche backdating that goes on I guess this was inevitable, but the 993 front end is my least favourite of any 911 generation and the outcome of this project just looks wrong to my eye.

Thing is you could put a 997 front end on for half the price of that with the bonus of it looking ok. Better still just leave it alone 996.1 looks awesome now.

I agree that the front end of the 993 is my least favourite of all models, the panel gap lines on the front wings, bonnet and bumper just never looked right to me regardless of whether the headlights were round or not. Ironically, the panel lines on the front end of the 993 effectively trace out the headlight profile of the 996, yet the 993 is revered as a design icon and the 996 continues to be generally slammed style wise. Personally I think the front end of the 996 although admittedly slightly odd looking from 100% face on is better resolved than the 993 with the lights following the shut lines.

I think the 996 is rapidly becoming an icon in it's own right. It was very ahead of its time.
