Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was driving home tonight and all of a sudden the interior lights came on, doors unlocked and the front windows went down....... has anyone had this done to them?..... or do i need to have an exorcism done?

POST 2Original post

Just as if you had pressed and held the button on the key remote? A dodgy button, perhaps.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

........i wish it was that but my hands were gripped firmly on the wheel (hanging on)

POST 4Original post

There is an impact sensor in the front (and I think rear) bumper - in the event of an accident it will open the doors if locked and, from memory depending on how the car is configured, also open the windows - might be worth getting a specialist to check this isn't shorting out through wet / salt / corrosion etc. Occaisionally my GT2 would do the same thing on a track day! POST 6Original post

The only impact sensor I can see on the wiring diagram connected to the alarm system control unit is from the airbag control unit. Presumably the airbag didn't go off as you might have noticed that!

POST 7Original post

I'm sure there's a 'shunt' sensor - it's also in the seat belts for the tensioner - quite seperate from the airbag control system - from memory, the airbag unit needs 'more' than one input to trigger them [ ] p

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
