Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Has anyone noticed the ad on page 39 of this months Panaroma magazine. Is Porsche now trying to market the new 911 as a mid engine car ? Stating it's "mid engine layout", whats up with that ? Are they trying to cash in on all the praise that mid engine platform cars recieve, or do you think this ad was supposed to be for the Cayman ?

POST 2Original post

I didn't notice it, but you made me look. Maybe the mid-engine new 911 is available only at Princeton Porsche, Lawrenceville, NJ. The first paragraph also says "Two seats ..... with a mid-engine layout", so maybe that part was intended for a Cayman ad.

POST 3Original post

I just went back and looked too. It sure does say that, but the 911 sure is not a mid-engined layout. I know the new motor sits a little lower, or something like that, but it still sits behind the gear box. Maybe they slipped and let the cat out of the bag for the next 911, the 998. Nah, I doubt it.

POST 4Original post

Definitely a missprint. I wonder if it was intentional..... That could be a clever way to get folks to call your dealership....
