Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Spy Shots: 2012 Porsche 911 in a winter wonderland - Autoblog Sure looks like a Cayman.

POST 2Original post

Does look like a Cayman. There appears to be more distance between the end of the door and the front of the rear wheel cut out than on the current turbo. Could they be going mid-engine? Nah, probably not.

POST 3Original post

"The 998 Carrera will feature Porsche's much anticipated naturally aspirated flat eight cylinder Boxer engine developing 400 horsepower." "...an aditional 7 cm of rear legroom. Curb weight increases to approximately 1730 kg." Sounds like the evolution to GT car is continuing.

POST 4Original post

I don't think so. To me it is clearly rear engined. Look at the over hang at the rear, it's huge and there are no vents in sides for intake or cooling.

POST 6Original post

Again, I may be wrong... but I don't think there are vents in the side. Those look to me like the same sticker/magnet "turbo vents" that they have been putting on quite a few mules in the last year.

POST 7Original post

There are 2 different cars, 1 a Cab, one a coupe. Look at the front plate numbers.

POST 8Original post

Just what the 911 needs, even more weight back by the rear bumper. Porsche made a couple of flat eight 914s. Porsche 914-8, a very special 'Eight-Cylinder' car.. Photo Gallery by 914-6 GT at pbase.com

POST 9Original post

Anyone like the new side mirrors? I think they're a definite improvment on the elf ears for the next gen P-cars. Interesting how they're now attached to the doors and are back to that more refined and slimmer shape.

POST 10Original post

Weird. It looks more like a 911 to me, even from the front, because of the headlights and separate signals. And from the side, it definitely looks rear engined. But it appears to be a hatchback. Hmmm..... Soon the 911 owners will be familiar with 'trunk clunk'....

POST 11Original post

Gator Bite, I'm with you.... the front looks all 911, the back looks eerily similar to the a$$ end of the Nissan GT-R...... OMG, someone is photoshopping the two together to stir up a hornets nest :hilarious: :hilarious:

POST 12Original post

The rear is camo to cover the new design. Not to worry.

POST 13Original post

I for one prefer the current set up having those big mirrors on the A-pillar. Those mirrors on the door look too small when view from the side. The car is a touch too long as well which will not help agility. However I do like the new front (except those foglamps!) I think the engine will stay 3.8 with 400bhp. I am dreaming that it will go up to 4l flat 6 with 450bhp! Maybe that engine will be reserve for the GT3!

POST 14Original post

Wheelbase looks longer(current wheelbase less than Caybox) and front overhang looks shorter. Seems like more space between rear of door and front of rear wheelarch. Better proportioned. Longer wheelbase = better ride and usable rear seats ie proper GT. New mirrors HUGE improvement Next 911 disguised as new Turbo or new Turbo disguised as next 911

POST 15Original post

I can definitely see a bit of Cayman influence in it and as I whole I like it! I have always thought the 911 needed to be a little "slicker" and not quite the bug looking item it is today. Will be interesting to see what it morphs into.
