When I had my IMSB done last year I wanted to keep the old one for a desk ornament. They could not give it to me as they had to send it to LN. I still want one even though it did not come from my car. Does anyone know where I can get one?

If you find one, you'll have to yank out the seals so you can get all the oil out of it. Otherwise it will leak forever. I have two that I keep for comparison, a single row small, and the later single row large. Big difference. You can certainly see why the failure rate is near zero with the later bearings.
Buy a 4-pack. Keep 1 and give the other 3 to your friends. It's a 6204 series bearing; 5204 if you're looking for a dual-row version. Amazon link
Contact LN and see if you can get your old one back.

I guess I meant not the actual bearing but the triangular housing that sits on the engine. Thats the part that looks cool!
I keep mine on a bookshelf with some hip components from a 2001 procedure
Some people even gold plate them then put them on their desk...
I'm saving mine, with the idea that if I ever decide to sell the car, a prospective buyer ought to care that the original IMSB was still in good shape when removed in favor of the Solution.
My mechanic had a box them sitting in his back room and he gave me one to use as a gag at a Porsche meet. You know - strictly 100% super funny stuff like "hey I found this under your car." I'm hilarious.
Wish I could find one! I emailed LN and Raby but no reply...
I'd sell you mine, but I melted it with a brazing torch.

We do not use conventional email. I have not seen any submission tickets requesting this.
I've got my old one on my desk at work. I tell people it's a $25,000 part
I will sell you my perfect ims bearing from my 2003 996 for $5000 CDn. Will subsidize my recent Solution install. Lol.

SOLD!! You do offer 100-year interest-free financing right? That only $4.16 monthly I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a flange today...
I have a used one that I removed to install a LN Retrofit that will come free with a 2000 Carerra for the low low price of $16,000 usd. All joking aside, I have one in my spare parts engine that I could pull and send you, if you really want one just to have for your desk. Drop me a private message and we can sort out the details.
Sure, I just had my bearing for my 2002 C4 replaced. Original was working just fine, and I've got it including mounting plate. DM if you're interested.
I have way too many ornamental paperweights, starting with Ferrari 355 timing belt tensioner bearings that caused me to take the engine out 3 times. That beats any IMS.
