How do 996 valve guides wear compared to say a 3.2 liter? As we know the bottom end on a 3.2 withstands alot more than the valve guides. Thank you.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I haven't heard of any issues with 996/986 valve guide wear. Do you think they are a problem? Are you having problems?
Here is my thinking. When I open a 911 motor with 50,000 I expect only to replace a few valve guides switch a couple of valve, maybe buy one. Is that the extent on what I could expect on a well maintained 996 motor?
You won't have to open the 996 engine at 50K for valves. Mine has 55K and runs perfectly, like a new engine, really (it's original to the car).
I would think by now that Porsche would have it's act together like Toyota does with the 4-Runner. I can't make my 4-runner break down.
