I think I have my shortlist of 996s I'm seeing over the next couple of weeks, but I've just seen one on AT which is further than away than I wanted to travel. However, it's a low miles 996.1 for under £10k and I'm wondering whether it's worth the journey. The description is very non-specific, so I've asked the dealer to send me history details. The dealer is AMC Prestige who seem to have a lot of good reviews, though their website is dead, which is a red flag for me! https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202508095284166

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Update ... AMC said they only have the invoice for the last service, as the rest of the history has been lost. I guess that would explain the price, as you're taking a bit of a gamble on provenance. In fact, they did say that the price reflects the lack of history.
The silver one you posted is worth £2-3k more than that.

And it's over an hour closer
Take a look at the mot history then keep on walking away............................................. !!!! Shocking and not worth the money they want either... too many fails and missing a few years too.

Yes, I did ... LOL
I think you might be disappointed if you traveled a good few miles without full disclosure from the seller. My old car is currently for sale and reading the sales pitch it is very clever in skirting around a few things. As with most things buyer beware

I’m not sure it’s that bad, the Fails are for simple fixes, nothing that would scare me, but then that’s me. It’s very low mileage which is encouraging, but no history is a concern, but it’s under £10k but it’s an auto so it’s not got the same appeal/value as a manual
I'd suggest that steering wheel has seen more miles than it states. It's a scruffy looking 996 that's not been loved as supported by the mot history. I'd be wondering why there's a few years between some of the mot's too. Reading between the lines and mot history i'd suggest it's sustained front end damage... either that or the last few owners didn't give a flying f**k about looking after her.... its a shame as a black cab could look stunning. All opinion of course but a 911 is cheap for a reason as we all know.

http:// I'd be looking a little deeper into those reviews, but, seeing a you're no longer considering the car, don't worry about it.
