I has never realised model evolution timings had slowed over the years, 993 only 4 years or so, 964 only 5. 2027 looks likely ? I wonder how far along the new model is, perhaps it was or is an electric monstrosity and the new CEO will save us from too much of that

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Manufacturers' model cycles these days are even to eight years with a mid-term refresh/facelift. Porsche is follwing the industry norm. But you're right, the 964 and 993 had relatively short lives.
Displayed like that, the 997 looks like it is ageing very nicely indeed
What model number comes next? 994,995,998 or Emergency services ?
