Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Just wondering if the engine compartment vents are the same size/shape on the Cayman as they are on the 05+ Boxsters. I think the horizontal vent strakes on the Boxster look a lot better than the 'gills' on the Cayman and I would swap them if it's a straight up swap.

POST 2Original post

Yes it is a straight up swap as long as the plastic connectors are in the same spot, and I suspect that they are. I haven't seen a vent removed from a Cayman to be 100% sure, but I don't see why Porsche would make different connectors, just simply a different plastic piece. There are a lot of Boxster owners who like the Cayman 'gills' and I bet would be willing to do a straight up swap with you. Have you seen my vent removal and air restrictor removal pictorial before?

POST 3Original post

Are the side vents body colored on Cayman S and silver on the 987 Boxsters?
