Why is the configurator so lame? Besides generally being a hog and slow, it is inaccurate. For one, it should include $795 destination charge. Also, when I added leather sports seats to a car with full leather it charges $760 instead of $400 as explained in the order guide. Also, when I added the Preferred Package it did not back out the charge for Bose and Wheel caps that I had added previously but are included in the package. By my calculation it should be 69,760 (70,555 incl. 795 destination), yet the configurator shows 71,255 due to the errors I listed above. People who aren't geeks and who don't pour over the order guide will get bad information.

Unforunately, this has always been true of the Porsche configurator for the last few years. You'd think someone at Porsche would get it right, it is simply a bunch of if-then logic and tree branching...

Its probably slow because I have built my same car about 20 times with about 10 different configurations. /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/regular_smile.gif
