Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I ran down the battery on my 911 (996) to the extent that I had to open the front lid by removing the lever panel and manually pulling the cable. I was then able to jump start the car and everything seemed to be working fine. It opens with both remotes and all else is well except that the lever for the front lid still doesn't operate? How can I get this to release?

POST 3Original post

The levers have a locking solenoid, which operates a plate that engages in the levers to lock them. Are you sure you didn't pull out the electrical connector for the solenoid when you removed the lever panel? Or perhaps something got snagged when you fixed it back on.

POST 4Original post

Don't forget the pull out contact in the Fuse Box. Pull it out attach a jump start and you can release the bonnet
