Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've recently acquired a 2001 986 2.7 after a five year 'Porsche hiatus'. I have previously owned a series of 996/986/987 over the years. However, having moved down here from the Midlands since owning the last one, I don't seem to have had much luck in finding a specialist round these parts. Fortunately I'm a fairly competent DIY-er (qualified tech in the 70's lol) but as I get older I'm less inclined/able to get underneath and tackle some of the more involved stuff so It would be good to find someone to turn to for such things!. Could anyone point me at somewhere around the Plymouth area that knows what they're doing when it comes to Porsche? Cheers Chris ps - I tried a forum search but couldn't see anything - apologies if I've missed it

Williams Crawford? - https://www.williamscrawford.co.uk/porsche-servici... I have no idea on the competency of their work or their reputation, but they always have some proper tasty Porche parked outside when I go past!

Thanks for all the responses/ recommendations. I’ll probably call in to WC and have a chat as it’s only 20 mins away. Cheers, Chris
