Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

'02 996 Carrera The part of the door lock assembly inside the door is fastened with two screws. Per the Pelican parts site, they are "Oval-Head Screw for Door Lock 8 x 14". A Torx T-40 driver fits in these screws, but that doesn't appear to be the right tool. Is the right tool a 12 point MM triple square spline bit socket in about M4 or M5 size or so? Thanks in advance!

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Lots of people saw this thread, but haven't replied. I've spring for a set of 12-point metric spline bits. I'm reasonably sure these are what I need.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just to satisfy the morbid curiosity of the 72 folks who looked at this thread, the fasteners for the door lock take an M8 12 point triple square spline bit.
