Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello all. I have the opportunity to get a PCM1 navigation system for a really good price (free). The good news is that all components are included (main unit, nav drive, and Nav CDs). The bad news ist that there are no wiring pigtails to speak of. My car is a 1999 C2. I know there are better systems out there but it is free and I do like the finished look of the system. Is this feasible?

POST 2Original post

IIRC, there is NO ABILITY to get updated maps which makes it worthless. While the oem look is nice, you are better off with aftermarket or windshield mount.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am aware of the map situation. But the reality is that I drive the car under 1,000 miles a year and there aren't many (if any) new roads in the SF Bay area. Again the price of components is hard to beat.

POST 4Original post

I would try googling PCM1 retrofit. I searched a bit for you but couldn't find anyone who had done it because the effort:benefit ratio probably sucked....

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
