With the temperatures dropping and snow on the roads, I've started to hear a strange squeak when the traction control engages, which seems to come from under the drivers side of the dash. It's timed perfectly with when the triangle icon (B in the picture below) shows up on the dash. Everything functions perfectly otherwise... I'm guessing it has something to do with the abs pump locking up the wheels? When the ABS is engaged during breaking the sound doesn't occur. Only seems to happen when its below -10C or so. On a somewhat related note, is there a way to fully disengage PSM? I turn it off with the dash switch but its clear that its not completely off as it still engages when I really get into it.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

To fully disengage unplug the pump. ABS will continue to function. You are correct, the dash switch does not fully disable.
I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. It's bizarre to me that Porsche decided this couldn't be done by the driver. All my previous Audi's and VW's had the option... Has anyone wired a toggle switch to kill the connection to the motor from inside the cabin? How does the car react when you re-engage power while it's running?
I have heard of people wiring a switch. I personally am not sure how to actually do it.
