Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Have a Continental radio (VDO) CD7416UB-OR to install in my 2003 996. Is it a simple plug and play? Have read a bit about a harness needed for cars with Bose, my speaker grills do not say Bose but I do have speakers in the dash, door and rear sides of the car. Advice/guidance appreciated!

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

bump (please help) My car has a 2-wire connector going into the G location in this picture. What is it and what should I do with it, the new radio doesn't have a spot for it. My car does not have door speakers, but I did find what may be an amplifier in the front trunk. The option label indicates 490, Basic Sound System.

POST 3Original post

Just did this install about 2 months on my 2000 I did need to buy the harnesses and line level outputs for the amp.
