Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

just want to say that i took the 911 out for a few drives at the weekend and around peoples houses for xmas visiting purposes. Having received many envious jibes about driving a flash 911, i must say I'm enjoying the 911, plus i may have recruited another person to 911 ownership over the weekend. Just cruising about slowly using the torque of the engine is also still a nice feeling. I had got a bit complacent about having a 911, but just felt refreshed about having one and how great they are!! Merry Christmas everyone!! Migration info. Legacy thread was 101207

i think your going to wear out your full stop button  [quote:eHkNvD7V5a="Previous poster"] Quote: Originally posted on wiki Ellipsis in writing The use of ellipses can either mislead or clarify, and the reader must rely on the good intentions of the writer who uses it. An example of this ambiguity is “She went to… school.” In this sentence, “…” might represent the word “elementary”, or the word “no”. Omission without indication by an ellipsis is always considered misleading. [/QUOTE] Migration info. Legacy thread was 101421

NOT BEING SARCASTIC: I too love my 996. I haven't used it since since September as I've been away but absence makes the heart grow fungus and it ***** rocks!! I still smile and think I'm the luckiest lad in Luckydom to have one. Migration info. Legacy thread was 101425

POST 14Original post

I gave mine a wash and a full wax at the weekend - it looked gorgeous. However a couple of days of road salt's taking a toll on the lustrous (is that good vocab, Stevo?) finish already Another wash at the weekend, methinks. Sadly it's not the weather to be taking the Carrera 4 for a proper spin just now 'oop' North - the temperature's hovering below zero. Very seasonal though. Migration info. Legacy thread was 101533

POST 15Original post

Congrats .. A little like me although my experiences are a little tainted .. since buying mine in March 2006 I have had a few 'teething' issues.. BUT it has to be said it deffinately does everything it says on the tin.. Having grown up driving fast modded Imps with YES you guessed engine behind the rear wheels I ALWAYS wanted a 911.. as a teenager buying religiously the Paul Frere 911 story books eventually this year landing a new job with good money bit the bullet and did the deed.. Already I have friends (& my wife) who have fell in love with it in fact two of which have bought 996's.. buggers they got "bigger & better" facelifts BUT Baldrick has a cunning plan -- I'm on the serach for a 2001/2 Turbo !! to piss 'em off Enjoy it lee.. The government may ban them soon.. Rob Migration info. Legacy thread was 101718
