Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm looking for a Basalt black bonnet (can be from anything) to practise rotary polishing, polishes etc on and was wondering if anyone knew where to find one? Doesn't have to be fit to put on a car, just as long as theres plenty of decent laquered bits to play with. Can handle slight creases and kinks etc. thanks.

POST 2Original post

Sorry, don't know where to find one but just curious on why Basalt Black only for the practise?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

its because different polishes have different effects with different colours (depth of shine, wettness etc), hence i'd know what works best with my car and i could also practice touch ups with wet sanding etc as well.

POST 4Original post

Thanks, would appreciate it if you could share your experience here of what works best as I'm in the Basalt Noir club too! [ ]

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

no problems, the word is pinnacle soverign (sp), poorboys natty blue and zymol royale/titanium are all good but i'll let you know when i discover it for myself

POST 6Original post

Pinnacle Souveran; you should also consider P21S... Okay, I'll stop hogging this thread and let someone give an answer to your actual reason for posting. [ ]

Try calling Porsch-Apart 07000 924 944 ...and don't forget Zaino - also great on black [8D]

POST 8Original post

There's normally a Boxster bonnet or boot lid on ebay - you might be lucky this month and find a black one

POST 9Original post

I am so impressed with your commitment to your car doing this!! good man!!

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
