Yesterday I was letting my mother drive and she parked at the curb since her driveway is not low car friendly and she had mistakenly left the turn signal on when she turned off the car, the result was beeping and an error message warning that the parking lights were on. It took a while to figure out (I had to trun the car back on and then the blinker sound cued me off. Little thing but I found it annoying that the error message was misleading.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Yah, I think that's a German thing for foggy days. It's common to see cars here(which are often parked where they might get whacked) with a side light illuminated to warn oncoming drivers. Usually that feature is controlled by the turn signal stalk. So it's annoying the first time, but it's really a useful feature in certain weather/lighting conditions.
I don't understand how you would use this while patking because it will not lock when you leave the signal on.
