Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Still hoping to get a 996 if I find the right one. If I go for a OPC Pre-Purchase Inspection and Extended Porsche Warranty, do I then have to have the thing services at an OPC to maintain the warrantee, or can I take it to an independent and just go back to the OPC if something breaks ?

POST 2Original post

Definately worth getting an inspection done via an OPC and an OPC warranty. I think you will need to get the car serviced for the warranty to remain valid but anything extra that is not covered by the warranty could be done via an independant I believe without effecting the warranty. Hope that helps and good luck with your search!
