Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I've noticed that there is a little play on the steering wheelmovingit back/forth. It has not had any impact on the car/driving, however I just wonder if it's normal.

POST 2Original post

Have not noticed this (yet) but do notice a little "in-out" play (maybe a 1/4 inch) sometimes...

POST 3Original post

RedEye, By back/forth movement I meant in-out and 1/4 inch is about right.

POST 4Original post

F1, The weird thing is I don't always get it... just some days. Or maybe I'm not noticing it?

POST 5Original post

Hm...I'm going to hop in the car right now and see if mine does the same.

POST 6Original post

Very little wheel play on mine? It is pretty direct. Should get more input on this. I have 19' SDwheels & Sports Steering Wheel also. Edited by - ploc36 on 07/25/2006 4:33:08 PM Edited by - ploc36 on 07/25/2006 7:38:14 PM

POST 8Original post

I get no play at all. My steer is super tight.

POST 9Original post

Hmmm.... I have the sport steering wheel and it has an 1/8' in/out movement. Barley noticeable, however if I pull on it toward me I can feel it. I guess I'll ask my service adviser if that's normal.

POST 10Original post

Nothing like that from mine. But I've got the stock steering wheel.
