Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello Has anybody had a problem with closing the convertible top compartment lid ? The roof opens and closes but the actual rear lid won’t close down . Thanks

POST 2Original post

Please define won't close down. Does it come back down but not clamp in position, or just get half way down, or just not move at all?

POST 3Original post

I have had that problem, and similar issues with the hood closing mechanism. Your issue might be to do with the cable mechanism which closes the clamshell, or the gear on the motor which drives the cable, or it could be a broken micro switch., And there are several microswitches. I actually have the maintenance manual suppliment for the hood mechanism but I am not sure where it is. If I can locate it I will take a look and report back. I have to say it put me off cabs.
