Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Those of you doing your own work, do you have a go to place for your parts? Do main dealers offer decent support on a 99 996 ? For example I need : Rear disc backing plates Front subframe under tray retaining clips Many thanks

POST 2Original post

The 996 is now a classic and should get you a discount at your local parts department at your opc and they should have prices that are competitive

POST 3Original post

I’ve recently got some bits from www.eurospares.co.uk There is also design911 but they seem to be more expensive.

POST 4Original post

For those parts, which are Genuine Porsche only, go to your local OPC...............................or expect to pay 20% more (at least)

POST 5Original post

Autodoc is good for many parts, especially if you wait for a 45 percent discount in your basket. These often come along after a few days.

POST 6Original post

Eurospares must be decent. That Mat Armstrong bloke uses them a lot for his expensive builds.

POST 7Original post

The clips are about 1 quid each from an OPC because I have new ones ready to fit ...and rock autos in New York can be cheap with astonishingly fast delivery times...but often an opc with your classic discount are hard to beat tbh I would imagine the backing plates from porsche would be reasonable ?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks all for the replies, I’ll seek out my local opc and go from there ..

POST 10Original post

I don't want to drive 30km one way to get to the main dealer, so I mainly use: Design911, Part Works DE and Rose Passion for Porsche specific parts, ordered with part number AutoDoc for "generic" parts like suspension components, bearings, filters & other service parts

POST 11Original post

OPC's will either deliver to you or ship to you, no need to go there in person, normally they wont charge either
