Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thinking ahead of course....but I really would like to find a storgae space for my hard top when the weather improves. I had thought about hanging it on the garage wall as space is a bit limited in there. Has anyone fabricated their own like this - is it possible - and apart from the metal - what else is suggested to protect it? thanks for any advice Alex Migration info. Legacy thread was 107458

POST 2Original post

I've got a proper stand now, but last year I stood the hardtop on some cushions and protected it from the wall by resting it on some pillows. Then tied it with rope to a rafter to prevent it from moving, and lastly covered it in a bag that a mattress had come in and then with some sheets. Seemed to survive just fine.........they do come up from time to time on ebay I believe. Migration info. Legacy thread was 107461
