Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Had a fault code come up on my car and mechanic says its PO340 something to do with camshaft sensor ? Is this correct and is it a major problem or small fix.

POST 2Original post

Welcome Dave!! The code you quote isn't quite right, so it my be that it wasn't a Porsche specific tester. The closest Porsche fault code is P0341, Camshaft Position Sensor, bank 1. They aren't too expensive to replace. It is more difficult to access one sensor than the other, but I can't recall if it is bank 1 or 2.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
