Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Rear lid has been painted cause a little scratch, they had to remove emblem. I dont know if to stick it again or not. I am in doubt. I am a purist and I will suffer without emblem. What would you do? WITH EMBLEM WITHOUT EMBLEM

POST 2Original post

Unless you can live without a rear license plate and keep THAT emblem...I would replace! I also am a purist and am keeping my '97 stock. Nice car BTW.

POST 3Original post

I ordered my 987S without the Boxster S logo. Delete Model Designation (code 498- $0 no charge!). My wife asked me why I would do this. She said people won't know it is an "S". I told her I know it is an "S" and that's all that matters to me!

POST 4Original post

I say keep it off for a while and see how you like it(looks, waxing, cleaning, etc...) and to atleast let the paint cure before you put the emblem back on.

POST 5Original post

A crest in the front and a badge in the rear. Classic Porsche. This is a Porsche not a import moded Lexus

POST 6Original post

I say stay stealthy and let everyone wonder what you're driving. That's what I do. I am emblem free

POST 7Original post

I'm a non-emblem fellow myself. It makes drying and waxing the car easier in that one area. More non-S people have it removed then S folk. I like bmussatti's school of thought.

POST 8Original post

Since you said that you will suffer without emblem then I think you should have the emblem on Either way it looks nice though. I have mine on because I'd like to keep it original if I can. I agree with tgtran, I'd say drive it for a while without emblem and if you can't get used to it, put the emblem up

POST 9Original post

You can order the car from the factory with or without the emblem. So, either way, I still think it is " original ". True, guys (and gals)??

POST 10Original post

I personally prefer no emblem. But once i got the car and realize i have to push on the trunk lid to close the trunk because of its hydraulic support, I left the badge on because that's where i push, to prevent fingerprints on the lid.
