Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Anyone know what this panel is and how to remove it? It doesn't seem to be on all 987.1 Caymans . I need to get behind it in order to install a cup holder. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

if you are talking about the carpeted bump out it is the Bose Subwoofer

POST 3Original post

The picture with the Grey interior, that panel isn't a panel, it's the factory Bose Sub . Here is a link to a previous thread that will tell you how to remove. https://www.planet-9.com/threads/removing-bose-subwoofer.6538/

POST 4Original post

That's actually the subwoofer for the Cayman . No guess on R&R

Thank you. I did discover that shortly after posting. I had no idea thats what it was! Getting the plastic panel off was surprisingly easy, but not remotely intuitive. You have to pull the plastic vent out, and behind it is a single torx scew that allows you to remove plastic panel with the charger.
