Does anyone know if any on the wheels in Porsche's lineup are Forged or are they all Cast? I ask because its a considerable weight saving in unsprung weight. From what I have heard in the past Porsche are notorious for having a lot of unsprung weight. For every 1 lb on chassis weight = 4 lbs of unsprung weight. Mygoal would beto cut 250 bls from the car without effecting balance at all. From what I have seen with Cast 18' wheels- they are typically between 27 -32 lbs. In the same dimensions, Forged are roughly 19lbs. (Forged is also a lot stronger by the way.) @ 10 lbs savings per wheel X 4:1 ratio I can save 160 lbs right there in unsprung weight. Its the difference between carrying a passenger or not.

Cast unless SD's which I believe are a combo of forged and cast. No Porsche wheels aren't the lightest and probably while I get a set of Forgelines or something else for the track.
