Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

first, i would like to say sorry if this thread is at the section. it could be electronic, care or tech. my question is, i have xenon in my car and it comes with the headlamp washer. i've owned the car for a year now but i still dont know how to operate it. i've tried pressing all the buttons at the dash but nothing seems to be working. anyone can help me with this. btw, if any moderators found that this thread is at the wrong section, you could always moved it.

Owner's Manual instructions do not work? If that ism the case, take it to the dealer for repairs.

POST 3Original post

you dont operate it manualy ,it does it automatically on every 4th screen wash .

POST 4Original post

I don't remember which button to use to activate the headlamp washer but it was inadvertent. All it did was make a friggin' mess on my windshield in addition to the headlamps. I will not be using this function...ever. I guess I don't get severely dirty headlamps but I think this feature is a waste of time.

POST 5Original post

I believe it sprays every 3rd or 4th screen wash automatically. Or there is a little button on the underside of the right stalk arm that you can push manually. I think mine need attention because last time I pushed it the jet shot over my windscreen!

Might be a waste in southern California, and Kuwait. Rest of the world, not so much...

POST 9Original post

From page 125 in my (& SF's) Owners' Manual: A - Headlight washer (Vehicles with Bi-Xenon headlights): The washer sprays only while low beam or high beam is switched on. - Briefly push button A to operate headlight washer system. - If heavily soiled, repeat wash. The headlight washer system automatically sprays once for every ten times the front windshield washer system is operated. Note The windshield washer nozzles are heated when the ignition is on, as a precaution against freezing.

Your headlights need to be on. And you hit the button on the bottom of the right stalk. It is pressurized, so it'll hit your headlight and ricochet to your windshield.
