Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Our Targa has just ground to a halt outside our home after the above warning came up. The battery charge indicator was showing around 11 when the warning appeared and the car managed 20 miles before it stopped. Our car is a 2002 and has is driven 150 miles each week mainly on motorways. OPC not open to Monday. Could battery die this quickly? Alternator belt driving alternator OK. Anyone had a similar experience? How much is a new battery at an OPC. Not a good week for our cars as my wife had a minor accident in our BMW estate and that is also out of commision. Targa has given us 27000 trouble free miles apart from the usual minor RMS leak.

POST 2Original post

Sorry about your problem ..do not buy from OPC to dear There is a Bosch one I bought from a garage in Glasgow for £45 with a 2yr guarantee try some of your local car accessory shops

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone know which model of Bosch Silver battery fits in the 996?

POST 4Original post

I'm fairly sure it is 7HN. My brother bought one from Costco a couple of weeks ago for his C4, and I think it was about £45.
