Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well as the title mine appears to have an 'issue'. It's worked fine before, but last night i flicked it on to go home and all was well. Then 2 mins later its stopped! Now when i touch the switch it flashes red once and does nothing. I've checked all the fuses and they are fine (with the light flashing i suspected as much) and have also been told of a possible element in the back rest which could be the cause, but i wondered if anyone else had experienced this and what the solution is.

POST 2Original post

It might also be the relay. I think that if a heater element failed (open circuit) it would just stop heating that part of the seat, and if it shorted out it would blow a fuse.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Apparently the heating element can trip the switch out too! Either way apparently it's around £200 to fix. My car hates me ATM
