Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I'd like to install my PDA/Sat-Nav in the Cayman, but dont want a windscreen mount. I've seen the Brodit / Pro-clip mount but it puts it too low down on the centre console. Does anyone have any neat ideas for a rigid/discreet dashboard mount that would work with a PDA..? cheers simon

http://panavise.com/f/comm/indash/indashviewfinalimage.html?modelID=11388985792694284 I use one of these in my Tahoe. Attach the panavise mount as per the instructions, then mount your pda's holder to the panavise mount and you are set.

Thanks for that. I've seen similar in the UK by a compay called Dashmount ( www.dashmount.co.uk ) but they still put the mount down on the central console. I was hoping there would be a dashboard mount that went somehwere near the top of the dash, perhaps picking up on the silver trim that runs about the glove-box area. I may have to look at making one if there is nothing available. BTW, any news on an Aux-in and phone-mute for the CDR-24 radio..? The users manual says something about phone-mute but I'm not clear on how/where that is accessed. cheers simon

To answer my own question and for those who are intersted, Brodit have now created a Centre mount for the Cayman & Boxster. You'll need to search their web site using the part number 653932. www.brodit.se BTW, the guys at Dashmount provided the info on the Brodit mount - only fair to give them credit ..! ( www.dashmount.co.uk ) cheers simon
