Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello everyone, I recently bought a 911 carrera 996 cabriolet 1999 with issues, the top will not go as far as half way and the passenger rear window stuck in the roll down position, any suggestions please help, Thank you

POST 2Original post

Bad news for you. I have the same year and just took it in for convertible issues. Mine had some retainers come loose. Had to order new parts (once they got into it, found other issues) which have to come from Germany. Going to cost me a little under $3K. Ouch

POST 3Original post

First take it to a local shot and have the top calibrated. Mine was off on the sequencing similar to yours. Cost about $300. Where are you located?
