Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quick question. Porsche 996.2 C2, Automatic gearbox. Have this slight clunk sound from the rear on/off gas at slow speeds ( 40- 50 km/h ) Can be heard here - After inspecting everything, found this (video), and I'm fairly certain it's the cause of the slight clunk or thump when lightly pressing the gas pedal—whether accelerating or decelerating. It seems there's some movement in the gearbox. Has anyone experienced this issue and can offer insight into what it might be?

POST 2Original post

2nd video is pretty normal noise from diff. The clunking in first could be gearbox mounts and or engine mounts.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
