Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

Has it dented the body work? If not, won't it T-cut out? ~ Maxie Migration info. Legacy thread was 133992

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

no dent, no. I am not sure, its on the bumper, the scuff is quite deep in places, do you think that's worth a go? i do not want to make it worse and want as good as finish as possible.... thanks Migration info. Legacy thread was 133996

POST 4Original post

T-cutting it won't make it worse, but its definitely worth trying. I use this all the time and it removes all but the deepest scratches. It might remove part of the scuff in your case. ~ Maxie Migration info. Legacy thread was 134003

POST 5Original post

Meguiars Scratch X is good stuff.........it is less abrasive/aggressive than T cut.....takes a little more elbow grease but really does do a good job and the end result is superior IMHO......Halfrauds stock it! Migration info. Legacy thread was 134025

if you go for respray, you could give langley autocraft in Kings Langley a go. They have done several bits of work on my car, and the results have always been perfect. you need to speak to pete (he owns a 911, so knows his stuff) Migration info. Legacy thread was 134085

POST 10Original post

Not heard of Scratch X - seems to be popular amongst you guys. The only Meguiars product I use is their clay bar. ~ Maxie Migration info. Legacy thread was 134101

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

crazy weekend, didn't even get round to buying the Scratch X, will have to wait til next week will let you know! Migration info. Legacy thread was 134880

POST 13Original post

ScratchX will certainly improve it, but if you can feel the scratch markedly with your nail it may need specialist attention. A while ago someone removed a deep scratch from my car with some ultrafine wet n'dry emery paper, some compound and some HD cleanse etc. Worked amazingly well, but wouldn't want to try it myself without supervision!
