I'm new to Rennlist and based out of MA. I recently purchased a 2000C4 Cabriolet in the summer. Very happy with the purchase Artic Silver with the red interior. I was looking into adding the oem techequipment 996 aero kit so I can insure that the parts fit well without fussing around but I'm not sure if I can still get my hard top on and off with the bi-plane spoiler. Quality is important. Also, does anybody know if the trunk will fully open? The kit isn't cheap and I would like to make sure..local dealers have no idea. Any suggestions would be great!

I put the full OEM aero kit on my 996 two years after I bought it. It fit beautifully and I thought - tastefully- set it apart from the crowd. I am not sure of the spoiler you are thinking about but the one you see in the picture here did not obstruct any moving parts. Be sure to order the kit for the Cab though as there is a differance (rear brake light and they provide a filler piece for the location of the exisitng one).
Good point about the brake light..I wouldn of missed that. Did the aero kit come with the side skirts and a front spoiler? If you have any pic's that would be great..nice ride..

Just FYI, this is the forum devoted to for sale ads from members. You might get better responses to your question if you were to post in the 996 forum, which is devoted to discussion of your vehicle.
Since this thread is butchered any way. How did you come up with the screen name "STATMAN". Just curious since it is my last name.
Still trying to figure things out. Thanks for the head up.

Yes...the kit came with rear tail, front bumper valence, side sills - the GT 3 fins were extra though rounded out the car nicely. Try a WTB on the appropriate thread first - because the Rennlist guys can typically find/ source these things well below cost from a Porsche dealer. For an example I got a new complete Aero 1 kit from Dave at Road and Race for my 993 at about 1/2 the cost of one from my local Porsche dealer. It is an original (new) Porsche kit that they sourced so I am sure there our other similar deals for 996 kits out there...and if you don't mind used, try LA Dismantler - who only sells Porsche original parts who had a lot of 996 aero stuff - maybe a whole kit if you call and ask.

A statistician perhaps? Remember the Seinfeld episode where Kramer stole the proctologist's license plate?
