Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Blimey! That's taken a while. Last time we heard from you was when you bought the timing tools earlier this year. I didn't realise it had been so long in progress until I looked back at your previous posts. Perhaps you could do us a summary of the work done and the rough costs, as we always find this stuff interesting.
it has been a while ! even the kids are laughing at me now! when the wife is not looking i will dig out the receipts for the parts and total it all up, i really didn't want to get a replacement engine as i wanted to keep it all matching, in hindsight it has been the right decision but an expensive one, when she comes back i will have the piece of mind that everything is sorted . will keep you posted .
nearing the end of the rebuild and another phone call starting with 'we need another part' the part in question being the camshaft solenoid.. mine had seized and a new one required.. once again the chaps at porsche colchester sorted one quickly helpfully and were by far the best price compared to some other so called porsche specialists ( the ones that picked the phone up that is ) awaiting the next call... hopefully to say its ready !
