Looking for a picture to see what Im missing. Ordered the adjustable bump stops for corners today but wondering if Im also missing a long rubber gasket along edge of aero deck?
Anyone have a picture of underside of 996.2 aero deck?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Yes u r missing the gasket. Its the same ss the one on the gt3 lid. Look it up on autoatlanta, its way too much money for what it is. I just bought one for my getty lid. 99651261101
Only shot I have at the moment: -Tom
What are the part numbers for the corner bumpers? I just opened my deck lid and realized I don’t have them on.

99651298700 Make sure your holes in the lid look like the first pic as i think there is a different "buffers" for early lids or non aero lids.
I have a 996.2 Aero car.
My deck was added by Porsche. Looks like you are only missing the adjustable stops and the rubber strip.

thx! Any idea what that part # is?
Here is the link to the GT3 lid at Auto Atlanta. However, there are some differences in the GT3 lid and the Aero lid. I'd call my dealer and ask. http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=803-06
According to Porsche TSB 6658, the dust seal is P/N 996 512 611 01: https://www.sunsetporscheparts.com/o...al-99651261100 Aerokit II installation document: https://www.tsbsearch.com/Porsche/6-5-03

I appreciate your help and ordered the dust seal how does it attach? Does not appear to be a channel or anything that it would insert into
Quotes source post: 18104423
comes with 3m tape attached
perhaps a side view of trim strip will help. Looks like you just attach the rubber strip right up along side the little ledge that extends across the hatch. The two little holes are left exposed but the strip goes right up to both of them.

thx much!!
So the part # you guys said to order is not the right part. There is no double sided tape and looks like no way to attach to an aero lid
Your part pictured is 996 512 611 00 The part in the TSB is: 996 512 611 01 That 01 at the end can make a difference. Anyway, the part description is: "Sealing Lip (dust protection, engine compartment) with prefitted double-sided adhesive tape on the underside. Not sure how else we can assist. Did Porsche tell you what the correct part is? Here is the page from the TSB.
The part that i ordered. The red stripe is the 3m binding tape
Finally got the right part thx to you all!
