Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I wish parts like this were as easy to come by as for a BMW but I haven't found one. I did find this though: Doors, Hoods, Fenders, Misc | Getty Design LLC I'm going to have a non-sunroof skin installed when its time to paint my car.

Hi Mike - I haven't seen a 'kit' for the 996/997 - only one from Rennline going up to the 993. I was able to find part numbers that are needed to do this; as someone did it on their 2007 GT3. The OEM part numbers are 997-503-501-00-GRV Roof Panel 997-555-091-02-A14 Head Liner 997-556-647-00 Foam 996-555-557-11-A03 Dome Light
Their are two good solutions. In the big scheme of things, both are easy considering trying to put a panel in place of sunroof.... First is a factory steel panel replacement, second is a FG of CF replacement panel from the likes of Getty or MAShaw or such. We have done both. Once windshield and rear window are out it is relatively quick process. No matter what you choose, the headliner is coming down either way...
