Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Howdy, I am trying to find the install location for this leftover clip (hey only leftover part?) 986.347.777.00 - Believe it held PS, radiator lines? Not entirely sure on where it is located, but would love a photo of it installed. My google fu is weak. My car has not fallen apart without it.

This is definitely the # off the part -

POST 4Original post

Did you type in the number in any search engine? If not please do so and you will see that you were right ;-)

Thanks - I know it is not a drain plug, and have found the part (and tried to look at parts diagrams), but still hasn't helped me find its exact location.

POST 6Original post

It supports one of the pressure lines (green) from Hydraulic pump to steering rack. You get this information by entering the number into the PET catalogue.

Yes, given it is absent from the diagram I am asking for help on the install location. Not sure how I can be more clear.

Am I missing something? Isn't it part number 14? It would appear to connect to the hose then keeping the hose in that U-shaped position. No? On another note... welcome to the forum. Please, moving forward, try to downsize those obnoxious size pics.

The #14 is what attaches to the engine assembly, not a bracket holding lines together. Agreed re: photo size. This is the only forum I've used in the past 15 years that hasn't been smart enough to render them down until you expand the image.

POST 10Original post

I can't tell you where it goes, but I'm glad you posted as I have that part leftover as well, but I did PS delete so I guess I don't need it!

Honestly, I don't even know where the bracket is in the last year! could be out in the garage somewhere or up in my office, but thankfully the car has done just fine (and I did not delete PS).

POST 12Original post

Mine is sitting in the box of other 'mystery bits' that I have no idea where they go...
