Should I be worried about a slight leak on the tiptronic box on my 05 997 s . Doesn't leak to floor at standstill but looks like it is leaking when she is in motion. Oil traces flying backward. Its where the gearbox meets the engine. Common gasket fault apparently. Indie said not too worry if it isnt leaking to floor. Any thoughts gratefully welcomed.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Is it tipt fluid, or engine oil?
Hi and thanks for the reply. Its definitely atf as it's red. I'll attach a pic. Looks minor but when driving it flies backwards onto engine.
That is going to be hard to fix. I would not mess with it yet until you have a reason to remove the engine from the car. Then, split the gearbox from the engine and reseal it. Not too bad if it does not even leave a mess on the floor.
Thanks for the reply yelcab1.. I told it up and it didn't take much at all so not too worried now. Annoying thing is it's not long had an engine rebuild but the indie that took the engine out and refitted didn't spot the leak. Could have easily had a new gasket at the time.
The best way is to remove the engine from the car and make the repair in hoses
