Hi, I've purchased a 981 Boxster from an OPC and noticed the exhaust muffler looking weird, see the photo. Is this normal or have the previous owner done something funny?! The car has only done 12k miles. Unfortunately I've sold my previous 981 and don't really remember what the muffler looked like on that, to compare.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

... and also why is that cable sticking out, anyone knows what it is? Tried to hide it back, but it does come out.
Just the OEM PSE exhaust isn't it? I'm assuming you have a switch on the center console to open the valves?
stewieyan said: By “cable” I suspect you’re referring to the silver braided hose ? It supplies vacuum to the PSE actuator. It should be clipped up, but someone’s either broken the clip or not bothered to fit the pipe into the clip.
